Part-Time Evening Cook

Job Description:

Jackson Ridge Healthcare Center, a Skilled Nursing facility in Maquoketa, Iowa, is looking for a part-time evening Cook to prepare delicious meals for our residents. Must be able to follow instructions on cooking and delivering well prepared meals. Responsibilities:

Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
Cook food in various kitchen appliances.
Check food while cooking to stir or turn.
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
Check the quality of ingredients.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to follow instructions for cooking and deliver well prepared meals.
Must be able to follow dietary guidelines and restrictions for residents.
Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
Ability to work in a team and alone.
Must be able to multitask and have great communication skills.
Previous work as a cook in a clinical setting preferred but not required.

Education:

High School Diploma/GED

Experience:

Entry Level (0-2 years)
